Combining extreme precision and creativity Marco Casali, the architect responsible for the design of the new Itama craft, the Itama Engineering Department and the Ferretti S.p.A. AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology) division achieved the final look of the new 50-footer, craft that will fit perfectly between the Forty and the FiftyFive. Like the other boats in the new Itama line, the overall aim has been to develop certain aspects, while maintaining the immaculate harmony that distinguishes all the craft in the Itama fleet.
The result is a modern 50-footer with a distinctively sporting character ( it reach speeds of up to 36 knots thanks to its twin MAN 800 mhp engines), hosting up to 8 people. The craft’s exterior, transferring again Itama “family feeling”, includes a higher bow and a lower stern that is smoothly, yet dynamically curved with all the tension of a bow about to shoot an arrow. A sportsmanship boosted up by the innovative construction process of this boat: in fact the new Fifty will take advantage of a lamination system for the infusion of the glass fibre components, which guarantees an improved weight-performance ratio. The craft also boasts a roomy cockpit and a large aft deck, specifically designed to exploit daytime liveability to the full and guaranteing a very special, no-filter relationship with the sea in the classic tradition of the open yacht.
